I confused the announcement posts for something from some comic company due to this art–reminds me of those cult darling comics from indie companies! This cover is drop-dead gorgeous, well done.
I love the use of negative space in this! The limited color gives it a wonderfully ethereal feel, and the subtle differences in the gestures of each different hand make it intriguingly vague as to whether this is multiple entities, a single entity with more than two hands, or something completely different, all without detracting from the lovely male figure you’ve drawn for us here. Great way to set the tone of the issue!
This is so cool! My brain went “Oh, blank space” first and then parsed the hands. I really like the subtle “cover has come to life” vibe here, and the guy is gorgeous!
