This is a signup for the December 30 issue; the text deadline for the issue is Tuesday, December 10 and the art deadline is Saturday, December 28.
Please reply to this post if you plan to submit a story or artwork for this issue, indicating whether you are interested in contributing to the issue as an author and/or artist, and whether or not you are looking for a collaborative partner. Artists offering to illustrate should provide links to past works as examples of style. Please leave alternative contact information, as comment notifications aren’t always reliable. Contributors wishing to collaborate with others should respond through indicated channels. As always, you don’t have to sign up to participate, and you’re not creating an unbreakable contract by signing up, but it’s always a good idea!
This issue is theme free: Get ready to ring in the new year with the biggest of our issues, where no theme and no upper word count limit mean you never know what you’re going to get — or how much of it!
- Quick Answers: Interested in participating but don’t know where to start? Bring your quick questions here!
- Submission Guidelines for Fiction: All the specifics for text submissions. READ BEFORE SUBMITTING.
- Submission Guidelines for Art: Whether you’re illustrating or submitting a standalone piece, here’s what you need to know.

By hook or by crook, I’ll be bringing some monsters, some mad science, and a heaping helping of class politics!
I’ve got an idea in mind for a standalone illustration ^u^
I am booked solid this month, but I’ll try to squeeze a little something in around everything else!
Okay, I’ve got enough stories close to the finish line that I think I can commit to getting ONE of them done in time.
My goal is to contribute to every single SSBB issue this year, and I will achieve this goal with the story of how two of my characters from a previous issue actually met!
I am hoping to make a short comic for this issue!
I think I could do this. I’ve got an existing story that I could modify to be Christmas friendly.
I was previously a contributor (both written and art) way back in the before times, but I think I’d like to contribute a standalone art piece for this issue if you’ll have me.
