This is a signup for the October 26 issue; the text deadline for the issue is Tuesday, October 13 and the art deadline is Saturday, October 24.
Please reply to this post if you plan to submit a story or artwork for this issue, indicating whether you are interested in contributing to the issue as an author and/or artist, and whether or not you are looking for a collaborative partner. Artists offering to illustrate should provide links to past works as examples of style. Please leave alternative contact information, as comment notifications aren’t always reliable. Contributors wishing to collaborate with others should respond through indicated channels. As always, you don’t have to sign up to participate, and you’re not creating an unbreakable contract by signing up, but it’s always a good idea!
This issue’s theme is Man Door Hand Hook Car Door: Our legends? Urban. Our pasta? Creepy. This issue? Spooky (and maybe a little silly).
SPECIAL NOTE ABOUT THIS ISSUE: While the general SSBB vibe is always one of happy endings, we ease off that a little bit for our October issues. Of course, warm fuzzies and happily-ever-afters still absolutely have a place in this round! But if you feel like taking things to a slightly darker/more ambiguous place for a change, this is the issue to do that. …However, as the goofy title of this issue might suggest, this is leaning toward horror comedy, so maybe think darkly funny instead.

I will be bringing something uncomfortable to read, potentially illustrated!
Got some suburban horror I wont to write for this one…
Fingers crossed I can turn my silly idea into something good in time!! I shall do my best!
Let’s see if I can dust off my spooky writing skills in time for this one, I’m in!
Well yes, I would like to play in the creepy playground.
I’ve got a collaboration with spicy-wrenegade going for a co-authored ghost story (illustrated by them probably). If anyone wants to illustrate a blood / cutting kink poem hmu. Or if you want a watercolor for your story, I’m open!
