This is a signup for the August 25 issue; the text deadline for the issue is Tuesday, August 12 and the art deadline is Saturday, August 23.
Please reply to this post if you plan to submit a story or artwork for this issue, indicating whether you are interested in contributing to the issue as an author and/or artist, and whether or not you are looking for a collaborative partner. Artists offering to illustrate should provide links to past works as examples of style. Please leave alternative contact information, as comment notifications aren’t always reliable. Contributors wishing to collaborate with others should respond through indicated channels. As always, you don’t have to sign up to participate, and you’re not creating an unbreakable contract by signing up, but it’s always a good idea!
This issue’s theme is Binary: Our sexy technology-themed August issue wants you to fire up your ones, your zeroes, and everything else in-between.

I’ve got a story in progress for this one!
I have a rough art piece started and whether that ends up being a standalone or an illustration to a story is information I have yet to become privy to (i.e. if a story spawns in enough time to do both together, I shall)
Working on “Improper Duple Longways” – more lesbians being opinionated about English country dancing, plus maths
I’ve got a work in progress! With illustrations! If I finished with time to spare, I will also make an offer to do illustrations for someone else’s work as well.
Would be happy to illustrate for an author!
Process wise, I’m pretty casual and will go with whatever works best for the author (e.g., some authors have a scene/illustration in mind, others let me choose what to draw ; some authors share early WIP/drafts, others wait until the draft is more refined). The bulk of my part happens in the 2-3-ish weeks before publication, but it’s best to give me a heads up so I can make time for your illo!

contact is either melanofly(at)pm.me or I’m also on ssbb discord.
I’ve got a robot story in the works and would love to work with an illustrator.
hey, it’s been a minute since I wrote something for SBB but I like this theme! I would be psyched to work with an illustrator but should probably wait until I have some idea what I’m writing. (Maybe a non anthropomorphic robot)
Got a story plotted out, hoping to submit for the first time!
I’d like to try participating for the first time
Been too busy with work and academia hijinks lately, *but* I’m going to do my darndest to write something for this issue featuring art thieves David and Jonathan!
Planning on submitting a story for the first time, along with a cowriter who’s been in SSBB before!
