Authors may request their story be removed for a variety of reasons. The most common are either that the author has a real-life privacy concern or that the author wishes to use the story in another context (e.g., academic, paid publishing).
Except in cases of valid accusations of plagiarism, the editorial staff does not remove content against a creator's wishes.
