A man on the hunt meets his prey in a bar.
Maybe it was supposed to make everything look like night in movies, milky blue but still bright enough to cast shadows. Rian couldn't think of another reason for the cobalt neon lights under the bar. They shone off the tops of his black shoes and made everything look somehow distant, like his feet were miles from the rest of him, tethered like astronauts on spacewalks, all alone in the dark.
From fairyninjas.wordpress.com: "A young man plays bait for a creep, or possibly he doesn’t, with plenty of supernatural elements. A solid read."
This is largely some old-school AU fanon divorced enough from the source as to be largely unrecognizable, but I would be lying to deny the degree to which it's been influenced by the third season of Hannibal.
- http://harmless-one.livejournal.com/41201.html: "one of my favorites from this issue. A young heir and CEO finds himself in a very dangerous situation. But if you think that's the long and short of this story, boy are you in for a surprise. Twists and turns and gore and smut--this story has it freakin' all. It's got imagery to stick with you and needs its own soundtrack or just to be made into a short film because some of the descriptioins were effective enough to jar you even a few days later. If gore bothers you, I'm not sure I care: just keep reading anyway. Honestly, you'll thank yourself. And this is a re-readable story because I think you might miss some of the hints and details Shukyou slipped in at the beginning the first time around."
